"This is NOAA Weather Radio, All Hazards. Station WZ-2506 operates 24 hours daily on the frequency of 162.500 megahertz in Wayne County. Programming originates from the National Weather Service office located near Nashville. WZ-2506 provides the latest public and short-term weather forecasts and weather conditions from around the area. Severe weather watches and warnings, and civil emergencies are transmitted for the broadcast area as needed. Current weather conditions are updated once every hour. A weekly NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards alarm test is conducted each Wednesday between 11am and noon, weather permitting. Otherwise, the alarm will only be activated for severe weather watches and warnings, or civil emergencies affecting the Tennessee counties of Decatur, Hardin, McNairy, Perry, and Wayne, and also Lauderdale County in Alabama. Please note that severe weather watches and warnings for counties other than those just mentioned will not receive an alarm on this transmitter. The National Weather Service needs input from our listeners in the event of a signal loss. To report a signal loss, please call our office during normal business hours at 615-754-4633.
