The antenna facilities are located 6 and 1/2 miles off Highway 59 south on Mission Valley Road. Station WXK34 provides the latest public and marine forecasts and observations. The local weather observations are updated hourly. Tests of the NOAA Weather Radio weather alarm device for the WXK34 listening area are normally conducted on Wednesdays between 11 AM and noon. During periods of severe weather warnings and statements will replace normal programming. The following counties will be alarmed: DeWitt, Lavaca, Goliad, Victoria, Jackson and Calhoun."
