- [Weather Radio Audios from 2005](https://weatherradio.net/2005audios/): I received an email today from a weather radio listener who came across another iteration of my old site (from 2007, via archive.org) which had audio clips from a few US and Canada stations in 2005. However, some had gone missing from, or were never indexed by, archive.org.  I have located those original audio files and they are linked below. - [WXM82 Decommissioning](https://weatherradio.net/wxm82-decommissioning/): WXM82 in Egremont, MA was removed from the NWR network earlier this year. Several other transmitters are in lengthy outages, some spanning several years, but to date have not been deleted from the network with no plans to restore service.
- [3 new NWR transmitters](https://weatherradio.net/3-new-transmitters-or-tx/): Just added to NWS coverage maps: WZ2559, Enterprise, OR. Broadcasting on 162.425 MHz, 100 watts from the NWS in Pendleton. Coming soon: WWQ50, Dalhart, TX. Will broadcast on 162.425 MHz with a program from the NWS in Amarillo. WWQ51, Stratford, TX. Will broadcast on 162.525 MHz with a program from the NWS in Amarillo. Power outputs of the two transmitters are unknown but likely to be 100 watts or 300 watts.
- [KAE42 Providence Forge, VA now on air](https://weatherradio.net/kae42-providence-forge-va-now-on-air/): A new NWR station is on the air in eastern Virginia. KAE42 broadcasts from Providence Forge in New Kent County, serving an area between Richmond and Williamsburg.
- [NWR Change Tracking](https://weatherradio.net/changetracking/): (Originally created 5/19/2023 and last updated 9/18/2025) Years ago, in a simpler time, I tracked changes to the NOAA Weather Radio network and updated my site regularly, including sending out an email blast to subscribers when changes happened. Over time (and no thanks to the PATRIOT ACT) the information I relied on became harder and harder to acquire and the NWS made more of an effort to conceal locations of stations.
